When we think about God’s wisdom in sexual relations, here is what Proverbs says: God is not trying to keep sex from us; he’s trying to keep it for us. Sex is beautiful and good only in the place God intended it—the marriage relationship between a man and a woman. God knows all the pain people experience when they go outside the sexual boundaries he has established. He wants to help us avoid that pain so we can live well. Do you want to live well?
