Be a Living Sacrifice

ROMANS 12:1-2

In view of God’s miraculous mercy, how then should we live? In Romans 12, Paul answers by urging believers to “present your bodies as a living sacrifice.” A living sacrifice? To first-century Christians, putting those two words together would likely have raised some eyebrows. Why did Paul choose this striking image to describe the Christian life, and what does it mean for us today?
