Small Town, Big Christ

Colossians 1:1-8
Colossians teaches this big idea: CHRIST IS ALL WE NEED. We need not supplement our faith with money, power, stuff, and/or cultural approval. Colossians tells us that Jesus + something = a diluted gospel. And it teaches that Jesus + nothing = everything. Colossians reminds us that Christianity is not primarily about being told what to do; rather, it is about being told has been done for us. And by whom. And for what purpose. Colossians declares that our PRIMARY IDENTITY is heir with Christ; saint in Christ; beloved of Christ; servant of Christ; and child of God.
