Legalism keeps believers from living the life God wants. Legalism is a shadowy system that replaces God’s grace with human rules. The results are churches that look like prisons, Christians that resemble inmates, and pastors that mimic wardens. This passage informs us: legalism is a shadow. Christ is the substance. Legalism shackles us to fear. Christ sets us free.
