Father, Forgive Them

LUKE 23:32-38

In His final moments on the cross, Jesus did not speak random words. Each statement was chosen, purposeful, and overflowing with divine love, truth, and power. In this first saying, Jesus extends forgiveness even to those who are crucifying Him—the Roman soldiers and all involved in His death. It is a breathtaking reminder of God’s boundless grace and the mercy available to every one of us.
