It can be a challenge for students to find time to “press pause” and when they do, a lot of them aren’t sure how to invest in their time with the Lord. During our time together, students will learn how to pray, how to memorize Scripture, and how to study specific passages of the Bible. In all of these practices, students will become closer to God, and ultimately see the value in prioritizing their spiritual growth. Register soon for these 2024 events, spots will fill quickly!

Winter Retreat FAQs

Where is the camp located?

Little Galilee Christian Camp
7539 Little Galilee Rd
Clinton, Illinois 61727

Is there transportation for all ages?

Transportation is available for 9th-12th grade students as they are older and more mature.

For many campers, this is the first time away from home. We believe it is best for parents to bring their child and be a part of their camp experience. It is a great opportunity to ask questions and tackle any nerves or concerns they may have, and pray for them.

What do I need to know about the optional transportation for the High School Retreat?

There is a cost of $10 per camper for the optional transportation to and from LGCC. Please complete all forms above to participate.

High School students traveling with us in the vans will need to bring money for two fast food meals. We will eat dinner together on the way to camp and lunch on the way back.

What meals are included?

All campers should eat dinner before arrival on Friday. There will be a late snack that evening.

Kids & Preteen Retreats: breakfast & lunch on Saturday is included

Jr High & High School Retreats: 3 meals on Saturday & breakfast on Sunday is included

What should my child pack?

All campers should bring a sleeping bag or twin bedding, pillow, toiletries, enough clothes for the length of time away, warm coat, weather appropriate shoes, notebook, pen/pencil, and Bible.

Junior High and High School should bring warm clothes, coat, gloves, and weather appropriate boots for outdoor activities.

What will my child be doing at the retreat?

Your child will enjoy age-appropriate worship sessions that include Bible teaching and songs. The theme for the retreats is PAUSE, and campers will learn different spiritual disciplines to help them grow in their relationship with God. They will also enjoy activities in small groups and have fun in large group games.
