Campers are in the midst of a spiritual battle. Sometimes it’s something small that throws off their day, and sometimes it’s something devastating and life-changing. No matter the circumstances of the battle, your campers have a choice to make: will they give in and give up or will they stand firm? In order to stand firm against temptation, we must be wearing the proper gear. Thankfully, God doesn’t ask us to fight alone—He promises His help. When we are equipped with God’s armor, we can fight with His strength. This summer, students will learn how to stand with God’s armor!

WRCC staff will be present for the camps listed below, but these are not WRCC events. Camps are run by the staff and volunteers at LGCC.

What should my child NOT bring?

LGCC has a strict no devices policy. Please do not send your child or student with their phone, tablet, smart watch, or portable gaming system.

What will my child be doing at camp?

Your child will enjoy age-appropriate worship sessions that include Bible teaching and songs. The theme for summer is STAND, and we will be digging deeper into our understanding of the armor of God in Ephesians 6.

Campers will also enjoy connection in small groups and have fun in age-appropriate large group activities ranging from the pool, paint ball, zip-line, giant swing, high ropes course, and more!

What if my camper takes medication?

Campers are not allowed to hold onto their own medication. The camp has a nurse on the property who will be responsible for handling all medication to campers. Whether it is prescribed medication or over the counter, all medicine needs to be turned into the nurse upon drop-off.

What is Canteen?

Canteen is the camp concessions. Each camper is able to receive a canteen card that parents will load before their arrival to the camp. Depending on the camper’s length of stay, campers will have one or more opportunities to purchase treats at the canteen. Money on the canteen card can also go towards camp merchandise. Any money left over on the canteen cards is donated to the camp missionary.

For week long camps, we recommend loading at least $20 to your child’s canteen card. This will allow them two treats in the afternoon and two treats in late evening.

What is Church Sponsorship?

Windsor Road Christian Church is happy to help send our WRCC students to camp. This summer, we are covering half the cost ($105) of week-long camps if registered by June 1st. During the registration process, there is a question about church sponsorship. Please see the example photo below to apply our sponsorship to your cart. Once you have registered your student, the camp will inform us of their registration.

For questions about further financial support, please reach out to Amber at aesparza@windsorroad.org.
