Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43

It’s easy to lose hope when we focus on the front-page news! Calamities, killings, and conflicts—where is God in all this? Who will sort it out? Who is for God? Who is against God? Who is who? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.

In this scripture, Jesus tells the parable of the Wheat and the Weeds. It’s a story about hopefulness and expectation especially when goodness lives next door to evil. Jesus assures us that God’s limitless grace still exists in the drama of a graceless world. He challenges us to rest our identity in HIS KINGDOM over the old age of evil that is passing away. He instructs us to keep our eyes on him! Keep serving, keep believing, and keep sharing even when we can’t see the results. HE IS RELIABLE!
