Philippians 3:1-11
It is a dangerous thing to become proud over your obedience to God! “Performancism” is a great mistake because it tempts me to find in myself what can only be found in Christ alone. The glory of the gospel is that it doesn’t merely liberate you from what others think about you, it liberates you from what you think about yourself! In other words, you are not who others see you to be, and you are not who you see yourself to be; you are who God sees you to be—His beloved child, with whom He is well pleased.
