Genesis 3, James 1:12-18
This Sunday Randy’s sermon is from Genesis 3, “Anatomy of a Lie.” Satan cunningly implies that God keeps His creatures dumb and docile to protect His fragile ego. He tells Eve (with Adam standing next to her): “If you want real power, stop bowing to God and instead become god.” Satan lured them with the lie that mere fruit was their ticket to supremacy. He shows the bait and hides the hook! We’ll learn that a thorough knowledge of God’s Word and an unwavering trust in God’s goodness are our only strength for spiritual victory!
