Philippians 1:1-8
Where do you most expect to find JOY? Tranquil JOY. Soul-calming JOY. JOY that brings others JOY? For the Apostle Paul, it is in prison, chained to a Roman guard. PAUL shows us JOY IN THE HARD PLACES. From his incarceration in Rome, Paul authors one of the most enduring, encouraging, sacred letters in Christianity. Paul’s letter to the Philippians is an epistle of JESUS-SATURATED JOY. We’ll learn lasting JOY can never be found in our circumstances. Rather, it’s found in a living relationship with Christ. JOY = “For me to live is Christ!”
