Philippians 1:27-2:4
These verses remind us that we are to live on earth as citizens of heaven. Paul, a Roman citizen, says that kingdom citizenship in Christ is primary. Furthermore, the best way we show our kingdom citizenship is not by our passports but by lives that imitate Christ, seek unity with other Christians, and live in humility. Humility is the gallant choice to relinquish our status and mobilize our resources for the good of others. Humility is power put in service to others. It’s more about how I treat you than how much I think about me.
