The Holy Bible is a library of connected books written over 1500 years by at least 40 different authors. It is a story line of God’s sovereign plan for our redemption. But there are parts of scripture that often confound the 21st century reader. I want to focus on these four principles borrowed from author Dan Kimball: the Bible was not written to you but it was written for you, never read a Bible verse in isolation, God intended us to interpret scripture in multiple ways, and all of the Bible points to Jesus.
