Mark 11:1-11
Though the crowds celebrated Jesus’s arrival into Jerusalem, they missed the point. He is victorious and yet humble. He rides a donkey, not a war horse. His kingdom is one of peace, not coercion. When Jesus approaches the city, he claims to be the Messiah, but not the kind the people were seeking. Who on that day would figure that Christ came as the Sacrifice of sacrifices and the Roman cross was the holiest altar ever? This message will challenge us to see Jesus as He is, not as we want him to be.
