Isaiah 40:1-5
This scripture reminds us that God is our great Comforter. In these verses, God speaks a tender word into the hearts of the people of Judah. Despite their tumultuous history, He comforts them with the news of forgiveness and the promise of His coming glory. In like manner, God extends His comfort to us today. Yes, it is often difficult to see beyond the valleys of despair that surround us. Nevertheless, the comfort of God is never too far for us as His beloved children.
