A Life-Changing Community, Passionately Pursuing Christ

Worship Theology
Old Covenant
Worship is the inevitable response to the revelation of the Holy Lord God of glory. All through scripture we see a people called by God to worship Him. In the old covenant, God established a priesthood from the tribe of Levi, who were set apart for worship and service.
1 Chronicles 16:4 tells us that the Levites were appointed as ministers before the ark of the Lord to invoke, to thank, and to praise the Lord, God of Israel.

New Covenant
Through Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, we are now all able to come into the presence of a Holy God. In the New covenant, we are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession that we may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

By accepting the free gift of salvation given to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are able to draw close to a Holy God and respond to His love by worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:23-24).

Here at Windsor Road Christian Church, we long for God’s Kingdom to come and for His will to be done here on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). We believe that Jesus Christ died for all of mankind, making us a family of believers from every nation, tongue and tribe. For this reason, we are intentional about creating an environment where we can lift up our praise and worship to God in the different languages and different styles represented in our congregation. We get to be a part of the church all over the world by declaring praises to our God alongside our brothers and sisters from various nations as John describes in Revelation 7:9-10.
