Fifty days after Jesus’s resurrection, the Holy Spirit came upon the followers of the Christ in a mighty way. The Holy Spirit transformed unsure disciples into a bold, solitary church. The Spirit at work then is the same Spirit working now! The Holy Spirit empowers the church for ministry. The Holy Spirit unites believers from every ethnicity and nationality. The Holy Spirit guarantees the salvation of the saints. The Holy Spirit convenes us to hear the Word of God. And, the Holy Spirit opens our hearts so that we can receive Jesus’s eternal truth.
