Windsor Road Christian Church will continue to follow safe practices during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we navigate unprecedented times, we will keep you updated here about how we will continue to worship as one Body of Christ, safely.
I’d like to update you on our congregation’s regathering plan and ask your prayers. I’ve been meeting with physicians, fellow Sr. Pastors, ministry coaches, our elders, and staff regarding the regathering of our congregation. I’ve stayed current on state and local information. Here’s what seems wise—take a “wading into the pool” instead of a “cannonball in the deep end” approach. That’s the best way I can describe it. That means we’ll experiment with outdoor services, then evaluate, then re-calibrate, then experiment more. Right now, we’re exploring an outdoor option with a large tent, discussing various worship times that would work in the summer heat, etc. Eventually, we’ll move toward opening the facilities for indoor worship services. I don’t know exactly when. I'll let you know. We’re trying to act prayerfully, safely, intentionally.
Beginning June 21st, we will be hosting in-person Sunday services at 9am on the WRCC Back Lawn. Services will also be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube for those who cannot or don't wish to attend in person. Video lessons and age-appropriate activities for kids and students will also be available. Get all the links and details on our Online and On-Site Services page.
All Small Groups are encouraged to continue meeting. Meetings can be in person, provided proper social distancing can be observed, or groups may choose to meet online. Small Groups may also come together (following all safety protocols) to watch Sunday services.
We will be offering several classes via Zoom over the summer. Full details are available on our Classes page.
WRCC is partnering with other churches and community organizations to help provide food to families in our community during the COVID-19 shutdowns. While volunteers are no longer needed for the Garden Hills distribution site, we continue to support this initiative.
