Super Bowl Party and Silent Auction, Feb. 5
We need your participation in making this fundraiser a huge success! Bring your whole family from 5-7 p.m. for our annual Super Bowl Chili Cook-off and Silent Auction. This summer we will be sending teams to Dominican Republic, Peru, Ethiopia and El Paso and this is one way we can help them raise funds to get there. We'll have games, great food and fun for all ages. There are many ways you can participate in the fun: Enter chili in the contest/vote for your favorite; donate a decorated cake in the contest/vote for your favorite; donate cookies to serve with meals; donate items/services for silent auction; purchase books; bring cash to spend/donate! Empty Arms Ministry, March 1
Empty Arms Ministry is a grief support network established by two moms who have experienced infant loss. We aspire to provide understanding and compassion to parents who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, still birth and infant death.
We invite grieving parents, their adult family members and friends to learn more about the grieving process, to grow through experience and share in each others lives.
We meet at the church from 6:00p - 7:30p, in room 303, on the first Thursday of each month. For additional information, please contact the church office, 217.359.2122.
Celebrate Recovery, February 10
Celebrate Recovery provides a safe place for individuals to begin their journey of breaking out from their bondage and into God's grace (II Corinthians 12:9), by helping them to start dealing with their life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
We'll meet each Friday evening at 5:45p in the Garage at the church.
Fun, Food and Friends, February 11
Come one, come all to the Church-wide Game Night--a great way for our church family of all ages and stages of life to get together and get to know one another! We'll meet in the Garage from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring a game and a snack to share!! Kids are welcome.
